Day 0. Your own hair, moved one follicle at a time.
With FUE, the doctor takes small groups of one to four hairs from the back of the head and places them where the hair has thinned, along a hairline drawn for your face. It is done under local anaesthesia and takes most of a day.
You arrive the day before and stay at the hotel. We drive you to the clinic and back.
Month 1
The new hairs fall out. It looks as if nothing happened, and that is expected: the follicles stay under the skin and rest.
Month 3
Fine new hairs start to come through, thin and uneven at first.
Month 6
Most people see a clear change around here. The hair is thicker, though not yet at full density.
Month 9
The hairline fills in and each hair keeps thickening.
Month 12
This is usually when the result is judged, and some people keep improving until month 18. Results vary from person to person.
