Privacy
Last updated 22 October 2026. This page covers Dayfold at peakappsstudio.com/daylio-viewer and its Spanish, Portuguese and German pages.
Your journal stays on your device
When you open a Daylio backup, the page hands the file to a worker script running in the same browser tab. It reads backup.daylio (your entries, moods, activities and their groups) and opens each photo or voice note only when the page shows it or a Pro file needs it. The app PIN that Daylio keeps inside the backup is never read or shown. Nothing from the backup is sent to a server, ours or anyone else’s, and nothing is stored: closing or reloading the tab discards it. The PDF book, the Markdown ZIP, the CSV and the poster are made in the tab and saved straight to your device.
Dayfold only reads. It never changes your backup file and never writes a new one.
What the page does send
- The Pro license check. When you paste a license key, the page sends that key and the product’s number to Gumroad’s license check (api.gumroad.com) and keeps the answer in your browser’s local storage, so Pro stays on. It checks again in the background once a week. Nothing from your journal goes with it.
- Visit counts. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no personal data. It never sees your files.
- Buying Pro. The buy button opens Gumroad, which handles payment under its own privacy policy. We get your email address and the purchase from Gumroad, to answer questions and refunds.
Daylio
Dayfold never connects to Daylio, Google Drive or iCloud and never asks for a login. It is not affiliated with Daylio or its makers.
