Export Fitbit data to CSV or Excel, for the dates you choose

Since the Fitbit app became Google Health, the only way out is a Google Takeout archive with your whole history in thousands of JSON files. Choose that ZIP here and download steps, sleep, weight, heart rate and workouts as a spreadsheet, cut to any date range.

  • One row per day, plus sleep, weight and workout logs.
  • Read on your own device. Nothing is uploaded.

Choose your Takeout archive

The ZIP Google sends, named like takeout-20261029T101500Z-001.zip. If Google split it, choose every part at once.

Unzipped it already? instead.

Get the archive from Google Takeout

Fitbit accounts moved to Google accounts in 2026, and the old Fitbit export page with its date range and CSV option went with them. The full archive now comes from Google:

  1. Open takeout.google.com and sign in with the Google account your Fitbit data moved to.
  2. Choose Deselect all, then tick Google Health (older exports call it Fitbit).
  3. Choose Next step, keep .zip and the largest file size, and create the export.
  4. Wait for Google's email. A long history can take hours, sometimes a few days.
  5. Download every part and choose them all here at once.

Questions

How do I export my Fitbit data as CSV now that Fitbit is Google Health?

Request your archive at Google Takeout with Google Health selected, download the ZIP when Google emails you, and choose it on this page. Tallyband reads it in your browser and gives you a CSV with one row per day, plus sleep, weight and workout logs, for the dates you pick.

Is my health data uploaded?

No. The archive is read by this page on your own device. Nothing in it is sent anywhere, and closing the tab discards it. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, and never your files. When you click a Pro button, a counter of our own adds one to a daily total for this tool, with the page and the kind of site that sent you: no cookies, no personal data, no IP address kept, and never your files.

Can I export only a date range?

Yes. Google only exports the whole history, but Tallyband cuts every table to the dates you choose before you download it.

Why are my weights in pounds?

The archive stores weight without a unit. Tallyband works the unit out from the BMI saved with each weigh-in and writes both kilograms and pounds. If your archive has no BMI, pick the unit yourself after comparing one weigh-in with the app. More on weight data.

What does Tallyband Pro add?

Pro costs $8, paid once. It saves everything for your dates in one go: one Excel file with a sheet per kind of data, or all the CSV files in one ZIP, plus every heart-rate reading, steps minute by minute and each sleep stage. The daily summary and each log as CSV stay free.

Is Tallyband made by Fitbit or Google?

No. Tallyband is an independent tool by Peak Apps Studio and is not affiliated with Google or Fitbit. Fitbit and Google Health are trademarks of Google LLC, named here only to say which files the tool opens.
