Privacy policy

Photo Date Fixer works on your Snapchat export inside your browser. We never receive your photos, videos, memories list or locations.

• There is no account, no cookies and no ads. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, and never your files.
• Nothing is uploaded. The security policy in each page of the fixer tells your browser to block every outgoing connection from the page except the visit counter's, and the script that processes your files contains no network code.
• The tool never connects to Snapchat and never asks for your Snapchat login.
• Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical data of each page request, as explained under hosting below.

You add the ZIP files of your Snapchat My Data export to the page. The page and its own processing worker read them in your browser tab and write the fixed copies there. Your original files are not changed, and nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

You can check this yourself. How we check that nothing is uploaded explains the security policy, the live “Sent from this page” counter and the steps to confirm it in your browser's developer tools.

The fixed copies carry the dates, local times and GPS locations from your memories list, and the CSV report lists every file and entry with its times and coordinates. Treat both like your photos: anyone you send them to can read that data.

Your browser stores two things for the fixer. Both stay on your device, and we cannot see either of them.

• Temporary output copies. Unless you choose to write into a folder, the fixed parts are built in the browser's private storage for this site, called the Origin Private File System. They stay there until you delete them with the “Delete the temporary copies” button or clear the site's data in your browser settings. Folder saving is offered only in Chrome and Edge on a computer. When you use it, the parts go into the folder you pick.
• The offline copy. A service worker keeps the fixer's pages, scripts, style sheets, fonts and images in the browser's cache, so the tool runs without a connection. It never receives your files, and it requests only this site's own files. Clearing the site's data removes the offline copy too.

There is no account to create and no login. The fixer's pages set no cookies and show no ads, and their fonts are served from peakappsstudio.com itself.

They load one script from another site, the visit counter. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, and never your files. When a page loads, and again when you leave it, the script sends Cloudflare the page address without anything after a ? or #, the page you came from (cut the same way), your browser and system type and the page's loading times. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. Your files are never part of that report: the page hands them only to its processing worker, which has no network code. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data.

The fixer is part of peakappsstudio.com, which Vercel serves as static files. Vercel, the hosting provider, processes the technical data of each page request (your IP address, your browser's user agent, the time and the page address) to serve and protect the site. This concerns the pages themselves. Your files are never part of a request.

The only analytics on the fixer's pages is the Cloudflare visit count described above, and we do not combine this data with anything. How Vercel handles data is explained in the Vercel privacy policy.

Some pages link to other websites, such as Snap's help pages and technical documentation. Following a link leaves this site, and the privacy policy of the other site applies from then on.

Photo Date Fixer is for people who can use Snapchat under Snap's own terms. We do not ask for or collect personal details through the tool.
