Your health data stays on your device
When you open a Samsung Health download, the page hands the files to a worker script running in the same browser tab. It opens only the files it shows: daily steps and step counts, activity and floors, sleep and sleep stages, heart rate, the daily vitality score (for the sleeping heart rate), blood oxygen, stress, weight, blood pressure and workouts. Other files in the download, such as the device list, food and water logs, GPS routes, app settings and the jsons folder, are not opened. “What Wristory read from your files” on the page lists the files that were read.
Nothing from your files is sent to a server, ours or anyone else’s, and nothing from them is stored in your browser. Closing or reloading the tab discards them. The Excel and CSV files, the PDF report and the poster are made in the tab and saved straight to your device.
What the page does send
- The Pro license check. When you paste a license key, the page sends that key and the product’s number to Gumroad’s license check (api.gumroad.com) and keeps the answer in your browser’s local storage, so Pro stays on. It checks again in the background once a week. No health data goes with it.
- Visit counts. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and no personal data. It never sees your files.
- Buying Pro. The buy button opens Gumroad, which handles payment under its own privacy policy. We get your email address and the purchase from Gumroad, to answer questions and refunds.
Samsung
Wristory never connects to your Samsung account and never asks for your Samsung login. It reads only the files you choose. It is an independent tool by Peak Apps Studio and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Samsung Electronics.
