Weebly closing in 67 countries: the dates and what to save

Weebly is winding down in 67 countries. Its own help page says sites there were unpublished on September 27, 2026, and that owners keep their login until December 26, 2026 to move their site, domains and data. The United States is not on the list.

Last checked: October 28, 2026, against Weebly's own help pages. Not affiliated with Weebly or Square.

The dates in Weebly's notice

Every date below comes from one page in Weebly's help center (Upcoming Changes to Weebly’s Global Operations). Written out, they are:

Weebly's timeline for the 67 countries
DateWhat happens, in Weebly's words
June 29, 2026"you will no longer be able to publish any new pages". Essential features of the plan kept working until September 27.
September 20, 2026The date by which Weebly says it will wind down its services in these countries.
September 27, 2026"Your current Weebly site will remain active for 90-days, and then will be unpublished". That day has passed, so sites in these countries are offline.
December 26, 2026"After this date, you will no longer have login access to your Weebly account." This is the last day to move your site, domains and data.

Weebly gives its reason in one line: "changes in regulation and to simplify our global operations".

As of October 28, 2026, the login deadline is the date still ahead: everything you want from Weebly has to be downloaded or moved before December 26, 2026.

A different date you may have seen

Some pages by other companies mention January 2, 2027. Network Solutions' notice writes that Weebly "will no longer be available in these countries after January 2, 2027", while giving September 27 for unpublishing and late December for account access (Weebly website discontinuation, important dates and migration options). Weebly's own notice does not mention January 2, and it is the page that says when your login ends. Plan for December 26.

The 67 countries

This is the list from Weebly's notice, in alphabetical order here. Weebly's page gives the same 67 names in a different order.

The United States is not on it, and neither are Australia, Canada or the United Kingdom. If your country is not on the list, this notice does not apply to it.

What to save first, in order

  1. The site itself. Weebly's archive is a ZIP of your pages and pictures. Download your Weebly website shows where to click, and Rehoused turns the ZIP into a clean site.
  2. Store data, if you sell. Items, orders and contacts each have a CSV export. The archive does not hold them: the blog and the store.
  3. Blog posts. They are not in the archive either. Copy them from the editor while you can still log in.
  4. Your domain. Start the transfer early: a domain cannot move within 60 days of registration, and changing its contact details starts a new 60-day lock. Move a Weebly site to another host has Weebly's steps.
  5. Email on your domain. If you have a Google Workspace account, the notice says to contact Weebly for help transferring it directly to Google.

After you have downloaded your data, the notice says you can also ask Weebly to erase it and forget your account.

If your site is already offline

Unpublished does not mean deleted: Weebly's notice says you keep access to your account until December 26 to move your site, domains and data. We could not test whether the Archive button still works for a site that is unpublished, because we have no Weebly account in an affected country. Try it now. If the Archive section does not answer, use Account Settings, My Data, Download My Data, and write to Weebly's support team, which the notice names as the contact for questions about exporting your data.

Open your Weebly archive

Choose the archive ZIP Weebly emailed you: the same pages come back as a clean website with your pictures in place, and a report lists what the archive could not bring. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Is Weebly closing in the United States?

Weebly's notice lists 67 countries and the United States is not one of them. The notice covers only those countries. Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom are not on the list either.

When can I no longer log in to Weebly?

Weebly's notice says owners in the 67 countries keep access to their account until December 26, 2026. After that date they have no login access.

Is my domain affected?

The notice tells owners to transfer a custom domain to another provider before December 26, 2026. A domain cannot be transferred within 60 days of its registration date, and changing its registrant contact details causes a 60-day lock.
