Weebly closing your site? Turn its archive into a website you can host anywhere
Weebly took sites offline in 67 countries on September 27, 2026, and logins there end on December 26. The archive ZIP Weebly emails you holds your pages, but they still lean on Weebly's code. Open it here and get the same pages back as a clean website that any host can serve.
- Same page names as on Weebly, so old links still work once your domain points to the new host. Pictures and files from the archive stay in their folders.
- Slideshows become picture grids, Weebly's scripts and trackers are left out, and a report lists what the archive could not bring.
- Nothing is uploaded. The ZIP is opened in your browser, and you never type a Weebly password.

- In the Weebly editor, open Settings, then General, and find Archive. Enter your email and choose Email Archive.

This file holds more than one site
Pick the site to open. You can come back for the others.
Your archive never leaves this computer. It is read by this page, here, and nothing in it is stored or sent. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics: no cookies, no personal data, and never your files.
Your site, room by room
Sample archive, made up by RehousedEach room is a page of your site. Pick one to see it as it will look on your new host. Dashed rooms are pages your menu links to that are not in the archive.
Save your new site
Weebly's contact forms only work on Weebly. With an email here, each form becomes an email link.

How to get your Weebly archive
Weebly makes the archive for you and emails a link to it. Do it while you can still log in: in the 67 countries on Weebly's list, that is until December 26, 2026.
- Log in to Weebly and open your site in the editor.
- Go to Settings, then General, and scroll down to Archive.
- Enter your email address and choose Email Archive. Weebly sends a link to download the archive as a ZIP file.
- Save the ZIP and open it here as it is, without unzipping it.
Weebly's notice also points to Account Settings, My Data, Download My Data for the data of the whole account. Its contents are not described in Weebly's help, so we have not tested them; if that download holds site archives as ZIP files inside it, Rehoused opens them too and asks which site you want.

What the archive holds, and what it leaves out
| Part of your site | In the archive | What Rehoused does |
|---|---|---|
| Pages, text, headings, links | Yes, one HTML file per page | Rebuilds each page in a plain, mobile-friendly layout with the same file name |
| Pictures and files you uploaded | Mostly, in the uploads folder | Keeps them, and lists any picture a page shows that is not in the ZIP |
| Header and background pictures | Often not: they are linked to Weebly's servers | Lists them so you can replace them |
| Slideshows and galleries | The pictures, but Weebly says slideshows may not work outside its editor | Turns them into picture grids that need no script |
| Contact forms | The form, but it only sends through Weebly | Replaces it with an email link, or leaves a note in the page source |
| Blog posts and store products | No, Weebly says they are not included | Names the pages so you know what to copy by hand |
Rehoused is built for the export Weebly describes on its help page, and tested on sample files: made-up archives that copy the layout of a Weebly archive, and three older Weebly archives that their owners published on GitHub. We have not seen an archive made in 2026, so a site with an unusual theme can still surprise us. The moving report tells you when something could not be placed.
Where to put the clean site
The clean site is a folder of plain files: HTML pages, pictures and one stylesheet. Any host that serves static files can put it online, and several do it for free. Netlify, Cloudflare Pages and GitHub Pages all take a folder you upload, and each lets you connect your own domain. The steps, and how to move your domain away from Weebly before the deadline, are in moving a Weebly site to another host.
Questions
Is Weebly closing?
Weebly is winding down in 67 countries. Its help center says sites there were unpublished on September 27, 2026, and owners can log in until December 26, 2026 to move their site, domains and data. Weebly is not closing in the United States, which is not on the list. The full list is in Weebly closing in 67 countries.
How do I download my Weebly website?
In the Weebly editor go to Settings, then General, and scroll to Archive. Enter your email address and choose Email Archive. Weebly emails a link to a ZIP file of the site. Account Settings, My Data, Download My Data gives the data of the whole account. Step by step: download your Weebly website.
Can I open the Weebly archive and put it on another host?
The archive holds the pages, but they still call Weebly's scripts and styles, and Weebly says slideshows and contact forms may not work outside its editor. Rehoused turns the archive into a plain website with the same page names that any static host can serve.
Does the Weebly archive include my blog?
No. Weebly's help page says blog and store pages are not included in the export because they rely on its database. Copy your posts before December 26, 2026 if Weebly is closing in your country. See the blog and store pages.
Is my archive uploaded?
No. The ZIP is opened by this page in your browser, and the new site is made there too. Nothing in the archive is sent or stored, and Rehoused never asks for your Weebly password.
Is Rehoused made by Weebly?
No. Rehoused is an independent tool by Peak Apps Studio and is not affiliated with Weebly or Square. Weebly is a trademark of its owner, named here only to say which file the tool opens.
