Can’t log in to Weebly or reach your site editor

Weebly’s help center gives three ways back in: sign in at squareup.com with your Square email if your account moved to Square, reset the password at weebly.com/reset if it did not, or send Weebly’s account recovery form if you no longer know the email. If you get in but only see a new Square site, look under My Business. In the 67 countries on Weebly’s list the login ends on December 26, 2026, so getting in comes before everything else.

Which login do you use?

Weebly asked its owners to replace their Weebly account with a Square account. Its FAQ says that once the Square account exists, you “log in from squareup.com using your Square email address” (Weebly and Square FAQ). Owners who never made the change still sign in at weebly.com. If you do not remember which you used, try both, with every email address you may have used.

The reset links and the recovery form are from Weebly’s page “I Forgot My Password, How Can I Reset It?” (I Forgot My Password, How Can I Reset It?). For a Square account that cannot be recovered with the email you remember, the same page points to a Square help form.

The reset email does not come

A Square Community post from June 12, 2026 describes exactly this: a site that showed a 404 page, and password resets requested several times without any email or code arriving (thread). The post has no reply. What does exist is a list of Weebly’s sender addresses that Square staff gave in February 2026 for a different email, the export link. Weebly’s own password page lists no addresses, so we cannot say the list covers reset emails, but it is the only list from staff we found, and it costs nothing to try. It is on The Weebly archive email never arrived, with the steps.

You sign in, but you land on a new Square site

Several Square Community threads from the last four months describe this. Three of them, with their dates:

These are reports from other owners. We found no help page from Weebly that describes the My Business route, so treat it as something to try, not as a promise. What you can do in a few minutes: sign in in a private window, try each email address you may have used, and look under My Business for a site list.

The Sites page or My Services is blank

An owner in Aruba wrote on September 17 that the personal-data export had downloaded from Account Settings, My Data, but that the Sites page was blank, so there was no way to reach the editor or the separate website archive (thread). On October 22 another owner reported that the My Services billing page was blank and that the chat agents of both Weebly and Square kept sending the owner to each other (thread). We found no public reply that fixed either. When the page is blank, the editor’s Archive button is out of reach, and the person who can fix it is Weebly’s support team.

Weebly’s notice names its support team for “questions about this change, exporting your data, or next steps” (Upcoming Changes to Weebly’s Global Operations). Put these in the first lines of your message, so the first person who reads it can act:

  1. The address of the site, and the email address you think the account uses.
  2. What you see: for example, “the Sites page is blank” or “login returns me to a Square page that builds a new site”.
  3. The date it started, and what you already tried.
  4. The line from Weebly’s notice: “You will still have access to your Weebly account until 2026-12-26 to enable you to move your site, domains, and data to another service.”
  5. The request: send the website archive for the site by email, and answer in writing.

The deadline in Weebly’s notice covers the 67 countries on its list. The United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom are not on it. If you are in one of them, Weebly’s notice states no cutoff for you, but the advice is the same: get your own copy while you can sign in.

Once you are in, save in this order

  1. The archive of each site. Settings, General, Archive, Email Archive. Download your Weebly website has the steps.
  2. The account download. Account Settings, My Data, Download My Data. It is a different download from the archive.
  3. The domain. If Weebly registered it, start the transfer early: Move a Weebly site to another host.
  4. Blog posts and store data. Neither is in the archive: the blog and the store.

When the ZIP is on your computer, Rehoused opens it and turns it into a plain website. It never asks for a Weebly password.

If you cannot get in at all

Without a login there is nothing for us to open. The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine may hold copies of your public pages, which community members suggested as a fallback in October. It is not a promise: it will not have your store, your hidden pages or anything that was never public, and what it saved depends on when it visited. Keep writing to support, and keep the reply.

Open your Weebly archive

Choose the archive ZIP Weebly emailed you: the same pages come back as a clean website with your pictures in place, and a report lists what the archive could not bring. Free, and nothing is uploaded.

Questions

Why does Weebly send me to Square?

Weebly’s FAQ says that, as part of its merger with Square, it asks owners to replace their Weebly account with a Square account, and that after that you log in from squareup.com with your Square email address.

Does the December 26 deadline apply to me?

Weebly’s notice gives December 26, 2026 as the last day of login access for owners in the 67 countries on its list. The United States, Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom are not on the list.

I cannot log in. Can I still get my site?

Not from Weebly without its support team. Write to them with the site address, the account email, what you see and the date from their notice. The Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine may hold copies of public pages as a fallback, but not everything.

Does Rehoused need my Weebly password?

No. Rehoused opens the archive ZIP file you already downloaded, on your own computer. It never asks for a Weebly or Square login.
