20 oz skinny tumbler template size
A straight 20 oz skinny takes a rectangle about 9.3 in wide and 8 in tall, but the exact size depends on the brand. A tapered one takes a gently curved wrap. Here are the published sizes, with each one ready to open at true size.
Straight 20 oz skinny tumblers
A straight skinny is a cylinder, so the wrap is a rectangle: as wide as the distance around the tumbler, and as tall as the area you print.
| Published by | Published size | Around (π × Ø) | |
|---|---|---|---|
| MakerFlo template chart, 20oz Skinny | Template 9.325 x 8.125, paper 8.5 × 11 in | template width | Open template |

Copied as published, last checked 7 October 2026. The “around” column is our arithmetic (π × the published diameter); heights are overall, so the print area is shorter. Peak Apps isn’t affiliated with these companies.
The size you often see quoted, 9.3 × 8.2 in, is close to MakerFlo’s 9.325 × 8.125 in, but we didn’t find it on a blank supplier’s own page. Across these tumblers the distance around varies by about 3/8 in, enough to leave a gap or a visible overlap at the seam. Measure around your own tumbler where the print goes.
Tapered 20 oz tumblers
If the top is wider than the bottom, a rectangle won’t sit straight: it spirals up or leaves a wedge-shaped gap at the seam. The wrap has to be a curved band instead. USCutter published its 20 oz tapered travel tumbler as 3.5" across the top, 3" across the bottom and 7" tall (archived product page; it is no longer listed). Unrolled over the full height, that gives:
| Top edge | 11.00 in |
| Bottom edge | 9.42 in |
| Side | 7.00 in |
| Angle | 12.85° |
| Outer radius | 49.03 in |
| Inner radius | 42.03 in |
| Paper needed | 10.97 × 7.27 in |
Even a small taper matters. On a skinny that is 0.1 in narrower at the bottom than the top, the bottom edge of the wrap is π × 0.1 ≈ 0.31 in shorter than the top edge, so a rectangle would overlap at the bottom by about 5/16 in.
Printing it
MakerFlo lists 8.5 × 11 in as the smallest paper for its 20 oz skinny template. A 9.325 × 8.125 in rectangle fits on Letter turned sideways with under 1/4 in to spare top and bottom, so check your printer can print that close to the edge. Questions
What size is a 20 oz skinny tumbler template?
For MakerFlo’s straight 20 oz skinny, 9.325 × 8.125 in, printed on 8.5 × 11 in paper. Other straight 20 oz skinnies are a little different: their published diameters run from 2.88 to 3 in, which is about 9.05 to 9.42 in around.
Is 9.3 × 8.2 the right size for a 20 oz skinny?
It is close to MakerFlo’s published 9.325 × 8.125 in, but we did not find 9.3 × 8.2 on a blank supplier’s own page. Check it against your tumbler: wrap a paper test before printing a batch.
Does a 20 oz skinny tumbler need a tapered template?
Only if it tapers. Straight skinnies take a rectangle. If the top and bottom diameters differ, even slightly, the wrap needs a slight curve or it will gap or overlap at one end.
